I will need some parent helpers to do decoration in the GYM on Feb. 8th, and helpers on February 11th to take photos, videos and passing food/gifts. Please email me if you are interested in to donate your time to the Chinese New Year celebration activities.

This month’s topic is the Body and Motion. K through 2nd grade will concentrate on Body’s, 3rd and up will concentrate on Motion.  At the same time, they will be listening, speaking, reading and writing and making crafts in Chinese. In addition to this:

Hosting family needed for Feb. 2013

Host Families Needed for Chinese Students!

Cascade Heights Public Charter School will have the opportunity to host 11 students and one teacher from Suzhou Experimental Elementary School   February 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. These students will be coming to our school and learn with our students. We are seeking families who can host students during this time frame and provide transportation to school and the airport. Our first preference would be to have at least two students with a host family. This is an excellent opportunity for Cascade Heights students to practice speaking Chinese with a native speaker and to help the visiting students enjoy our part of the world.

If you are interested in hosting, please email Wenny Laoshi at w.liao@chpcs.org , by December 10th. Please indicate how many students you can host, if you have completed your criminal background check for the year and if you have been cleared as a Cascade Heights volunteer.

Great news! We will have 15 students 2 parents and 2 teachers from our sister school at Suzhou China come to visit us on October 4th. They will arrive 8:30am at morning and leave around 2:30 afternoon. We decided to divided them to three groups and join our 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade classroom this year.
